Preparation of the fingers should be done and then afterwards attached. Around the outside area of the PVC cap, 15 holes each measuring 0.4 inch should be drilled. Because the cap is pretty small, the holes should be drilled closely to each other.
The spacing pattern should be in such a way that two are next to each other in a single row and one is at the center in the following row. This should be repeated all around the cap. Take the rubber fingers and insert them carefully into the holes starting from inside going out.
After the above step, you should drill a hole measuring about half of an inch at the end of the PVC cap. It should be well centered so that it is able to spin well. In the end, you should weld the threaded rod to a single end of the mounting collar's fan motor.
Lastly, you should mount the collar to the motor and then use 0.5 inch nuts for fastening the rod's end.
