Find The Best Food In Staten Island

There are many restaurants competing to make the best food in Staten Island. Royal Crown Bakery is known for making enormous sandwiches, such as the chicken parmigiana hero. They also make cakes and bagels. Carol's Cafe is a local favorite, where the owner is also the chef. They offer typical American food like cheeseburgers and make their desserts on site.

If Vietnamese is your preference, then you should go to Pho Mac, the only restaurant of it's kind on the island. It's located in the Bullshead area. The ambiance is relaxed and they offer take out food too. Children are allowed in the restaurant and you can park on the street. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access.

DaNoi Restaurant have two restaurants in Staten Island, serving cuisine from Northern Italy. The menu is reasonably priced with pasta dishes priced between $14 and $16 dollars. Their meat dishes are slightly more expensive, priced up to $27. The primary restaurant is tucked away on a side street and has a nice, intimate ambiance.

Shaffer's Tavern is probably number one for German food. They have an extensive range of sausage and beer. They offer specials as well as a soup of the day. It has a family feeling to it and has been owned by the same people for a long time. Their sandwiches cost around nine or ten dollars on average. Platters are slightly more expensive though.

There are a number of pizza restaurants to pick from. Joe & Pat's Pizzeria and Restaurant has been open for more than 50 years. They are famous for thin crust pizzas. Recently, they opened a second restaurant in Manhattan, proving their popularity. Denino's Pizzeria Tavern has been open for over 80 years. This restaurant has been passed down the generations of the same family.

There is only one Cajun-Creole restaurant in Staten Island and that's Bayou. They create the style of the old New Orleans. They have live jazz music and offer tarot readings too. During most week days there is a prefixed menu which offers a three course meal for just under twenty dollars. They serve many different desserts as well, including banana and chocolate pudding and caramel cheesecake.

Filipo's Italian Restaurant is one of the more expensive places to eat. They offer antipasti from $11 and their pasta starts at $18. Some of their meat dishes are priced at $40. A catering service offered too, for people hosting parties. They often mark special occasions such as Father's Day by holding special events. In addition, Filipo's has a diverse selection of wines, from all over the world.

Duffey's Tavern has an Irish theme and is famous for it's burgers, which some people think are the very best in the borough. It's close to the zoo and easy for visitors to find. They offer a selection of daily specials too. Their prices are reasonable with appetizers starting at around $6. Their burgers and sandwiches come with pickle and potato chips. If you'd like to have fries too, then you will have to pay extra. Duffey's most certainly serves some of the best food in Staten Island.
