The following recipe provides a few simple baking tips for creating the most delicious lemon bars.

It is important to achieve the right crust to filling proportions to ensure that you achieve the right balance of flavors and textures. There are many recipes that have been made available on the web, but the key is to create the best possible bar consistencies. A combination of sugar, butter, and large eggs should be used for extra cream fillings.

Ingredients for the crust include 1.5 cups of all purpose flour, two-thirds cup of powdered sugar, quarter cup of cornstarch, half teaspoon of salt, and 12 tablespoons of hard butter. The filling requires that one prepare 4 eggs, 10.5 ounces of sugar, 80ml milk, 2 teaspoons lemon zest and two thirds of a cup of freshly squeezed juice with a pinch of salt. Medium to large sized bowls should be used.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, prepare a large baking tray and grease with baking spray or oil. The flour, powdered sugar, cornstarch, and the salt should all be added together in a bowl and slowly stirred until mixed. You could make use of a food processor and slowly add the cut pieces of frozen or hard butter while mixing for an average of 10 seconds.

This preparation should include a course feel as it makes up the perfect crust consistency. This mix will need to be pressed into a tray including even layering. The tray should then be refrigerated for at least 30 minutes and bake for 20 minutes where it will develop a golden glow.

The filling is easy to make and involves a combination of eggs, flour, sugar, milk, lemon zest and juice into a medium sized mixing bowl. The crust should be removed from the oven and have the filling mix poured over it while still warm. Bake for another 20 minutes.

Once the preparation is completed, cut the dessert into appropriately sized slices. You could enjoy these delicious lemon bars with sprinkled sugar adding to the delight and lovely appearance. When baking these treats be sure to keep an eye on cooking temperatures for the perfect results.
